Cinemagraphs is a multi-genre album comprised of 11 original compositions by Gabriel Koempel. This is his premier album as an artist, and it features some of his earliest works as a composer. It was written in part to showcase his friends and collaborators from his time at university. The album’s track listing includes works of jazz, classical, folk, traditional, orchestra, film, neo-soul, R&B, and more.

Performer
With more than 15 years of experience as a freelance performer, Koempel has performed as a leader and as a sideman for groups across the U.S. He has performed and recorded in studio settings, performed live and recorded for radio broadcast and video streaming media, and has appeared in many recordings and music videos. He has performed a wide variety of musical styles including jazz, classical, pop, hip-hop, country, rock, funk, folk, musical theater, gospel, Christian contemporary, European styles, and Mediterranean styles.

Additional Experience
Koempel has written and arranged music for performance groups, and has written cues for visual media (including film and dance). He has also worked in pre- and post-production roles as a coordinator, recording engineer, sound engineer, and mixing engineer.
